Walk wade the Uncompahgre River and its tributaries, below Ridgway Reservoir, in Ridgway State Park. One of Southern Colorado's best tailwater fisheries, the Uncompahgre offers anglers a chance to discover an unparalleled fishing experience year-round. Extensive rehabilitation has resulted in prime habitat for Rainbow, Brown, and Cut-throat trout, with catch and release waters revealing deep runs and large pools. Whether you are a veteran or novice, our certified professional guides will provide you with a quality angling experience. *Lunch included on all full day trips.
This stretch of river lies within Ridgway State Park. A park pass is required on all vehicles.*PLEASE NOTE: In order to legally fish in the State of Colorado, anyone 16 years or older must possess a valid Colorado State Fishing License. Fishing licenses can be purchased at our Full Service Fly Shop, or you can conveniently purchase them online through the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website. Cost of license is not included in trip prices. Licenses can be purchased for periods of one day or more.

Our Guides will meet you at our Full Service Fly Shop prior to trip departure, excited and ready to go for your guided angling adventure! Guides typically like to take a few moments at this point to make sure you are properly outfitted for your trip, review fly patterns, and make recommendations. From here, we'll load up and head out to your trip location for an incredible day of guided fly fishing! *Please make sure you indicate to your guide the skill areas in which you wish to focus on to become a better angler; this will help our guides understand your unique desires and adapt to your requests. *Lunch is included on all Full Day trips
*On trip day, please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure if you need to address any of the following items: Fishing Lisence, Rental Gear or Equipmental Considerations.
Listed below are some basic essentials for your guided fishing trip.Please note: you can purchase or rent any of these items at our fly shop upon arrival.

Fly & Gear Suggestions:We will provide flies, but you will also have the opportunity to purchase flies here at our shop, which may provide you with a better selection than back home.
The clothing you choose should be warm, lightweight, fast drying and allow good freedom of movement. Synthetics such as polyester, nylon, or fleece, are lighter than wool and also dry much faster.
In order to save time, we want to give you the option to pre purchase your fishing license online. This will allow you to depart on your trip more quickly and focus on what’s really important - the fishing. It takes about two weeks for you to received your license from the DOW, so if you’re trip is within the two weeks just note your transaction ID and we can quickly print it out at the shop.
*Note we cannot print off your license without the transaction ID number so make sure you have it!

*If you’re unable to pre purchase, you can still purchase your license at the shop before your trip departure. If you do plan on purchasing your license at the shop, don’t forget the following:
Reservation Policy: A 50 % deposit is due at time of reservation, with the remaining balance due 48 hours prior to trip departure. At this point your trip is considered non-refundable.
If we are unable to obtain authorization on your credit card and cannot reach you, your reservation will be considered void. A confirmation email will be sent to you at the time of payment confirmation. It is the client’s responsibility to reconfirm receipt of all details contained in the reservation confirmation email including: trip location, meeting/departure times, appropriate attire, and expectations.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made prior to 48 hours will forfeit a cancellation fee of $20 (per person). Cancellations that occur within 48 hours of trip departure, will be considered non-refundable. Cancellations must be received via email (email@example.com) with a written response confirming the cancellation. This policy applies to all fly fishing trips, regardless of reasons for cancellations – no exceptions. We are not responsible for cancellations due to weather conditions, road hazards, vehicle breakdowns, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen conditions which may hinder our ability to safely conduct a trip.
We reserve the right to modify or reschedule any trip if last minute water levels, weather conditions, or other circumstances arise which are beyond our control. If these circumstances arise, we will provide an alternative location, if a suitable alternative is not available we will provide a full refund.
