Mountain Meadows Trail Ride

Experience a taste of the wild west ant the Wasatch Mountain range. Your ride Begins at Soldier Hollow Stables where you will Saddle up on your gentle, cowboy trained horse for a ride though alpine meadows and fragrant sagebrush. Your hour ride will gave cowboys and cowgirls, young and old alike, an adventure they won't soon forget. Surround yourself with spectacular mountain vistas and views of the pastoral Heber Valley.

Itinerary

1 Hour Horseback Ride
Your Western adventure will begin 20 min before your departure time at the Soldier Hollow Stables just down the street from Midway Adventure Co. head quarters. There you will check in for your Ride. You will get a change to meet your wranglers where they will give you a 10-15min arena lesson to introduce you to your horse. Once everyone is comfortable you will head out on your western trail ride. Your wrangler will take you above Soldier Hollow ( the 2002 nordi olympic venue) as you get to know your horse you will experience the true west, with fragrant sagebrush surrounded by snow cap mountains views and a panorama of the pastoral Heber Valley. Don't forget to bring a camera because we are sure you will want to take some pictures and boast to your friends and family when you get home! This trip great for  cowboys and cowgirls beginner or not. 

Important Travel Information

Destination Location
  • Arrive 20 minutes prior to scheduled ride
  • One Rider per horse-no double riding
  • Our trails are walking only
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult
  • No weight limit. however, each rider must be physically able to mount there horse unassisted

Recommended Gear List

  • Boots or tennis shoes (no sandals)
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen and lip balm 
  • Pant (no shorts)
  • light jacket (something warmer in spring and fall)
  • Hat 
  • Camera

 

  • Cash for gratuities. Your guides will make every effort to see that each of your adventures is enjoyable and successful. Gratuities for guides are appropriate, greatly appreciated and at your discretion, as a gesture of thanks for each activity will likely differ, you’ll want to take some cash on each of the trips. The common practice is to give the gratuity to the guide at the end of the trip. In trips where multiple guides have participated, the gratuity will be split amongst all of them.

Cancellation Information

Reservations cancelled 48 hours or more before departure will be charged a $10 per person cancellation fee. 
There will be no refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of the departure time.
