Since your river trip is a combo of dry scenic floating and wet whitewater rafting, follow this guideline on what to wear. The float part of the combo is first thing in the morning, so dress warm and bring extra layers! You will be in self-bailing boats, so wear shoes that will keep your feet warm even if water drifts in and splashes them. We have neoprene water booties for rent if you prefer to keep your shoes dry.
Following the float and breakfast at our riverside camp, you have the opportunity to leave your camera and any clothes you'd like to keep dry on the bus. This is where you can change into your whitewater clothes. See next paragraph.
Synthetic fabrics that wick away moisture (nylon, polypropylene) are the best for whitewater rafting. Cotton will cling to you and keep you cold. For warmer days, bathing suits and shorts are perfect. For cooler days, wetsuits, booties and fleece are available to rent at check-in. Wear shoes that are strapped and secure on your feet (tevas, keens, chacos or even old tennis shoes). No bare feet and no flip flops! Feel free to bring a towel or dry clothes to change into at the end of the whitewater trip.
Your payment is refundable if Barker-Ewing River Trips cancels your trip due to extreme weather or a change in trip schedule. Should you Cancel or Change your reservation, your payment is refundable based on the following:
(7 Days) for Groups of 14+ participants on all river trips; also the Genuine Jackson Hole package;
48 Hours for Breakfast and Overnight Combo Trips; also the Hike, Bike, Horseback or Safari package;
24 Hours for Whitewater Adventures and Teton Views Float Trips
