After a fun day of paddling you'll join up with the gear raft and camp staff at one of our many campsites options. You'll be greeted by our staff with appetizers and a cool beverage. Camping has never been so comfortable as it is with Lakota. Our staff will prepare an incredible meal from one of our many menu choices: Filet Mignon, baked potato and green salad or our terryaki chicken stir fry served with steamed rice. Both menus include a freshly baked dessert...yes, I did say freshly baked.
The evening can be spent around a campfire reflecting on the day's adventures and what is in store for the next day.
Awake to the morning with a hearty breakfast of eggs, french toast, bacon, coffee, and juice before breaking camp. After the team gets everything packed up we will continue through Brown's Canyon with its continous class III rapids. Brown's has continuous whitewater with rapids such as Zoom Flume, Big Drop, Staircase, Widow Maker and many more.
Packing Suggestions
You won’t need much. Lakota Guides will outfit you with most everything you’ll need, in fact most of the items you’ll need are what you would bring on a typical overnight while staying at a hotel.
We will provide you with dry bags for clothes, a Mountain Hardware tent, sleeping pad, a sleeping bag. Ideally you should be able to pack your items all into two paper grocery bags.
Each participant will be partnered with another; combining tents and dry bags reduces excess gear. Groups traveling in even numbers will of course pair up within their own party. Individuals requesting a private tent will be charged an additional fee.
For most of your time on the river, you will be wearing a bathing suit and/or shorts.
Again, do not over pack.
Misc.
