We come together at Ragle Park at 10:30am. This allows time to finish your B and B breakfast or make the drive up from virtually anywhere in the Northern California region. We fit you with a Marin hybrid-style bike along with a helmet, bag, and comfortable gel-seat. Your leader goes over the "Rules of the Road" as well as how to operate the bike.
We're off at about 10:45am. Your leader will explain the sights and local wine facts and history. We ride down into the Green Valley, passing Graton, where we turn onto the bike path. Quiet, peaceful, virtually traffic free, this enchanting road will take us to Taft Street Winery, our first stop of the day, where we will have a chance to sample some of their fine wines. The support van is nearby for wine purchases, water or extra support.
Getting back on our bikes we continue riding while enjoying the views of the vineyards and surrounding hills. With a flat road, it is easy to enjoy the scenery and fresh air. Soon we continue to our next stop, Cahill Winery and if we have a chance we will visit one more winery; Russian River Vineyards. Here we will have a chance to try their wines and enjoy our picnic lunch at Cahill or Russian River Vineyards.
Lunch with Getaway Adventures is quite an event. Shaded oaks provide a canopy with views of the valley. Enjoy a wine country lunch with dishes such as Mediterranean feta orzo salad, local organic salad greens, fresh baked bread, artisan cheeses, seasonal fruit, and dessert.
After lunch we climb into our kayaks for a leisurely paddle along this picturesque, slow-moving river that winds it's way through wine country, filled with birds and wildlife. There will be a few opportunities for some excitement as we go through Class I rapids. We finish our trip at approximately 3:30pm at Odd Fellows bridge. Here we transport you back to your vehicles and bid you farewell!

After we meet you at 10:30am, we do a quick bike fitting and then we are off on our tour. We visit 2 wineries in the morning, enjoying a delicious Wine Country picnic lunch at our second winery stop. Our support van will pick up any wine purchases you make and deliver them to your car at the end of the day. After lunch we walk down through the vineyard to the river, where we spend a couple of hours kayaking on the serene Russian River. The tour ends at approximately 4:00pm.
Please wear comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes. There is no dress code in the tasting rooms, so please feel free to be casual! We recommend that you bring layers; the mornings can sometimes be cool, but the weather generally warms up by midday. You are welcome to wear a bathing suit under your bike clothes, or you can put a bathing suit in the support van and change after lunch. Also, feel free to wear your bike clothes on the kayak portion of the tour!
Default Cancellation Plan
Due to our standard of personal service, cancellations affect us significantly. We strictly adhere to our policies.
1. All cancellations received at least 72 hours prior to the tour date will be charged a $25 per person processing fee.
2. All cancellations received within 72 hours of tour date or no-shows are not eligible for refund.
3. Cancellations will only be honored with a cancellation confirmation number by Getaway Adventures authorized personnel. This consists of numbers and letters. Unfortunately, we will not be able to honor any cancellations without this confirmation number, NO EXCEPTIONS.
WEATHER POLICY
We ride rain or shine. We always have rain ponchos available in the case of light rain or if anyone wants to continue in the rain. For those who prefer not to ride in the rain, your tour guide will happily become your private chauffeur as we continue our tour in the support van.
