We'll tour the local countryside from Cashmere to the outskirts of Leavenworth, visiting 3-4 beautiful, and amazing wineries. You'll be transported from each winery in our Adventure Bus with plenty of room and large windows so you can enjoy the gorgeous views.  We'll taste sparkling whites and bold reds while getting to know the local Wine Masters.

Our Wenatchee/Methow overnight trips are the perfect way to get a double dose of whitewater action. These are offered on weekends throughout May and June. We meet at 9:00am on Saturday and raft on the Wenatchee River the first day. You have the remainder of the afternoon to tour the beautiful Columbia River Gorge and relax at Lightning Pine RV Park on the Methow River, which features shower facilities, volleyball, and an archery range, along with full RV hook-ups. The next morning we cook breakfast and begin the next leg of our journey on the Methow River, a very exciting run! After the trip we serve a porkchop BBQ to finish off your day. This is a great 2 day adventure, including four meals and tents (if needed). This overnighter is the perfect way to experience the Cascade Loop! Give us a call or email us for more details. 7 day intensive Whitewater Guide Training Course offered July 6-12. Training will include 5 days on the Wenatchee Rive and 2 days on the Methow River. Course exceeds Washington State minimum requirements and successful completion will enable you to work as a Professional River Guide. We'll begin every morning at 9am with a brief lecture reviewing training modules completed and expectations for the day. The remainder of the afternoon will be spent on the river and will be extremely "hand-on". You must be in good physical shape and an adequate swimmer to participate in this course.

Escape it All in the Rustic Methow Valley

Embarking from the town of Carlton deep within the valley, this trip will give you plenty of chances to relax on flat water as well as get a little wet. It's a Class I-II float through the best stretches on the whole Methow river for spotting wildlife and some really fantastic views of the arid hillsides. A couple Class II rapids here and there will spice it up a little, as well as plenty of time to play games and have fun.

Back at the Lightning Pine RV Park, you can change into dry clothes while we heat up the grills. Always an important part of the trip, our food is one of the reasons our guests come back year after year! Enjoy our Top Sirloin Steak BBQ, fresh salad, corn on the cob, french bread, and lemonade to finish off your trip. This river is located right on the Cascade Loop, so you have the option of returning to the West side of the state on this very beautiful drive.

Guide Training 2013

Love the outdoors and adventure? Ever thought of learning to be a whitewater raft guide?

Blue Sky Outfitters offers the top Guide Training course in Washington: a highly intensive, hands-on series of classes taught by some of the top whitewater river rafting guides in the state. Our goal is to produce a graduating class that will meet our high standards for our own guides as we hire many of our new guides from our guide training class. No previous experience is needed. This course is open to anyone who has good swimming ability. This course will teach you all that you need to know to begin guiding whitewater rafting trips and exceeds Washington State requirements for whitewater guide training.

Costs Tuition is $495.00.00 and includes river gear rental (wetsuit, neoprene booties, lifejacket, helmet), all necessary instructional materials and books. You'll also have access to supplemental training and rescue videos. A minimum of 50% of tuition is due upon signing up to hold your place. All fees are non-refundable.

Employment Our company is GROWING! If you're interested in a job as a whitewater guide, our first round of hiring each year is from the graduates of this class. We'll have part-time, full-time, and weekends-only positions available. In addition to graduating from our guide training course and demonstrating the ability to safely guide on your own, we look for individuals with a strong work ethic, great attitude, good people skills, and the ability to always be on time and ready to go. You must have a current drivers license and reliable vehicle. Having a passion for the river, and getting good marks in the course are a must in order to graduate. If you meet these requirements, we look forward to extending an offer to join our company!
