Want to combine your rafting adventure with sampling the local fine wines of Rattlesnake Ridge? This trip is your ultimate whitewater and wine event! Your 2-day tour begins spending an adventurous day on the Tieton River and then and evening relaxing at your comfy hotel sundeck on the edge of the world famous Yakima Valley. You'll wake up to the smells of a sizzling breakfast waiting for you in the hotel lobby and soon after will be wisked away to experience the best wines in the area. We'll tour several wineries tasting bold reds and delicate whites while conversing with the local wine masters. After taking in the local hospitality, we'll make one final stop to enjoy the famous Salmon BBQ at Silver Lake Winery while taking in the breathtaking views of the vineyard and the entire Valley from their Viniferanda. Once you have had your fill, we'll transport you back to your car to reminisce about your fun-filled weekend.

Itinerary

Day 1

We'll meet your party at the Tieton River for a spectacular day running all those fun Class III+ rapids on a river that drops over 50 feet per mile. Continuous action from start to finish will leave you exhilarated! Afterward you will enjoy our fabulous riverside top sirloin steak barbecue before heading to the Comfort Inn located in Zillah where you will check in for the evening.

Day 2

After enjoying a full complimentary breakfast at the hotel and taking some time to digest, your group will be picked up by your tour guide for the day and off to the wineries in Rattlesnake Hills! We’ll start your day at Bonair Winery, where you will enjoy their fine selection of award winning reds and whites. Then, your second winery will be Hyatt Vineyards one of the oldest wineries in the region established in 1983. Next, you will climb back aboard our winery ride for the short trip to Portteus Winery, a smaller local family owned vineyard that specializes in a fine selection of Red wines. To top off your day, you will be transported to Silver Lake Winery in the afternoon for a vineyard barbecue of salmon or ribs while enjoying their selection of both reds and whites. After you are completely satiated, your tour guide will bring you back to your vehicle at the hotel for the end of your adventure.

Swimsuit or shorts to wear under your wetsuit
Fleece or wool sweater
Sunscreen
Change of clothes (to be left in your car for after the trip)

*Note: Please do not wear any cotton clothing (sweatshirts, jeans, etc.). Unlike wool and polypropylene, cotton will not keep you warm when it gets wet.

Farmer John style wetsuits (full body without sleeves)

Coast Guard Approved life jackets
Helmets
Water resistant drybags on each raft (for extra sweaters, hats, etc.)

Cancellation Information

If you cancel within 14 days, there is no refund. If you miss your trip or are late for any reason there are no refunds or rescheduling. If you cancel 15 or more days prior to your trip, we will refund you monies paid minus 50% per person in the reservation. We seldom cancel or postpone a trip, but we reserve the right to do so when necessary: due to water conditions, weather, insufficient reservations, or other reasons beyond our control. In such a case, your fees will be refunded or applied to another trip, but not expenses incurred in travel.
