The 13-Mile Scenic Float is a section west of the town of Jackson, nestled between the Grand Teton National Park and the Bridger Teton National Forest. Opportunities abound to spot anything from a moose wading in a back eddy or an osprey diving for a cutthroat trout. And with the snow-capped Tetons as your backdrop, be sure to bring your camera for this wonderful trip.
This trip takes 3-4 hours and departs in the morning and afternoon from late June to late August. We supply Coast Guard-approved lifejackets, fleece blankets for cool mornings, and high-powered binoculars for each boat. Water, baked goods, and lunches are provided depending on the time of departure.

The 8-Mile Scenic Float begins at Pritchard Creek and travels past the nesting areas of both bald eagles and ospreys. The trip is a great way to see the beauty of the river and the geology that forms the Grand Canyon of the Snake River, without getting wet. The river is home to a variety of waterfowl and native animals including moose, deer and river otters. Early morning is the watering time for most animals along the river, and affords the best opportunity for wildlife viewing. Feel free to bring your camera with you!
This trip takes about 3-3 1/2 hours and leaves once a day in the morning throughout the whole season.
If you are looking for a scenic trip with Teton views, check out our 13 Mile Wildlife Scenic Float
The wettest way to experience the Snake River! The 8 man raft is a smaller boat heading into the big waves of Kahuna and Lunch Counter, so be prepared to paddle hard and get soaked. You do not need to have any more experience on rivers with this raft, just an adventurous spirit.
This is a very popular boat with limited space, so please make sure you request it at the time of booking. Kids can also be in this smaller raft although there are times during the early part of the season when our age limit for this raft may be raised.
If you would prefer a bigger raft, check out the whitewater trip in our Standard Raft.
Your whitewater trip takes you through the Grand Canyon of the Snake River and some of the most beautiful scenery in the West. Picking up the strokes will be easy to do as one of our experienced guides conducts the trip down some of the best whitewater in Wyoming. You will provide the paddle power as your guide navigates your through the rapids, explaining to you the technique of an eddy stop and a ferry.
Our custom made, state of the art NRS and Hyside rafts can hold up to 16 people, but usually have 10-14 people in them, 8-10 paddle spots in each boat. There are seats for all types of rafters in this boat. As a paddle leader you can sit in front and meet the waves head-on, or you can sit toward the back next to the guide, enjoy the canyon scenery and not get as wet.
With seats in the raft for all preferences, families and groups can't go wrong with this ride. This is also a great raft for kids, giving them the option to sit in back and get use to the river or getting soaked by sitting in the front and being the "hood ornament" as you go through the waves (a great picture for the Christmas card!). Either way, with the kids sitting in the middle flanked by paddles on each side, they have the most secure spot in the raft.

Our most popular trip! This trip combines the serene beauty of the 8 mile scenic float with the excitement of paddling through rapids in the Grand Canyon of the Snake River. The 8-Mile scenic float begins at Pritchard Creek where you will float past Bald Eagle and Osprey nesting grounds as your guide tells you stories of the area and points out the many geological features. This section of the river is home to a variety of waterfowl and native animals such as deer, elk, otters, and moose. Early morning is the watering time for most animals along the river and affords the best opportunity for wildlife viewing. By mid-morning it is break time at West Table on the banks of the Snake and it is time to gear up for the most asked for activity in Jackson Hole: Whitewater Rafting in the Grand Canyon of the Snake River. There is no need for superlatives, the names of the rapids say it all - Big Kahuna, Lunch Counter, Three Oar Deal, Ropes, and Champagne. After your adventure is over, we take you to a spot along the river for a deli lunch before we bring you back to town. There is no bus travel between where the scenic trip ends and the whitewater trip begins. It is a continuous float. Be sure to make your reservations in advance because our most popular trip of the day fills up quickly. This trip is about 5 to 6 hours from the time you leave our office until you get back to town.
