Welcome to Barker-Ewing River Trips in beautiful Jackson Hole, Wyoming, home of Grand Teton National Park and neighboring Yellowstone National Park. We are a family-owned and –operated river outfitter that has been guiding trips down the Snake River since 1963. Since the Ewing's initial partnership with Dick and Barbara Barker from 1967-1984, the Ewings have continued to provide an unparalleled standard of excellence widely respected within the river outfitting industry.
Frank and Patty Ewing first began guiding scenic sections of the Snake River in 1955. As seasons passed, they decided they would start their own company doing just what they loved. Their passion for the valley, the river and all that shape it continues to provide the backbone for Barker-Ewing River Trips. Heather Ewing, with an enviable resume of river experience from Alaska to Costa Rica, now guides the family outfitting business in the new millennium. With more than 45 years on the Snake River, we are more than ever dedicated to our core principles: close attention to detail, insistence on quality and safety, and belief in the wonder of what we are privileged to share with our guests. These principles have served our guests, our staff and our family well. They won’t change.
We offer safe and exciting whitewater adventures, relaxing scenic floats, combination day trips and overnight stays on Jackson Hole’s famous Snake River. Picnics, breakfast and dinner cookouts, wildlife, mountains and more. Fun for all ages! Our Scenic Float trips offer a calm water, soothing experience, giving our guests the opportunity to take in breathtaking panoramic views of the Tetons and providing good bird and wildlife sightings. Our Whitewater Adventures offer a fun-filled trip with rapids at every turn for all ages through the Grand Canyon of the Snake River.
