Luxury Weekend

3 days . .

Day 1 (Friday) - Arrival

We meet you at your hotel in Calistoga in the afternoon for a bike fitting and a quick talk about the itinerary for the weekend.  Your guide can suggest some great self-guided rides for cyclists of all levels for those who want to do a Friday warm-up ride.  Walk around the quaint town of Calistoga or enjoy a spa treatment or mud bath.  Dinner reservations will be made for the group by Getaway Adventures.

Accommodation: Mount View Hotel & Spa

Dinner: The group will dine at one of the many great local eateries.  Options include Asian-fusion, bistro, and American cuisine.

Day 2 (Saturday) - Calistoga Sip 'N Cycle

Today we'll visit some wonderful off-the-beaten-path wineries in the northern Napa Valley.  We ride along small country lanes, taking in the mountain vistas and acres of grape vines.  We visit family wineries where you'll enjoy intimate tastings as well as more modern wineries that combine a love of wine and art.  Along the way your guide will talk to you about how the grapes are made into wine.  At one of the 3-5 wineries we visit, we will stop for a Wine Country picnic lunch under the shady trees.  The ride is a flat 15-20 mile loop.

Accommodation: Mount View Hotel & Spa

Dinner:  The group will dine at one of the wonderful restaurants in Calistoga.

Day 3 (Sunday) - Healdsburg Sip 'N Cycle

The Dry Creek Valley in Healdsburg showcases the true beauty of the Sonoma Wine Country's landscapes.  We meet you in downtown Healdsburg with bikes and helmets ready to go.  The short ride out to the Dry Creek Valley takes us from downtown out to the quiet country lanes we will be riding on.  The rolling hills take you up above the valley and back down into the rows of vineyards and mustard grass.  We will enjoy great wine tasting at some of Healdsburg's most notable wineries, and will try a bevy of zinfandels, the varietal that this area is known for, among other wonderful wines.  Our Wine Country picnic lunch will be at one of the scenic wineries we visit.  The ride covers 15-20 miles along gently rolling hills.

Our day ends around 3:30pm to ensure you arrive on time for any return travel plans.  We bid you farewell and hope to have the pleasure of seeing you on a future tour!
