If you are a cyclist looking for a challenging ride followed by wine tasting at small, family-owned wineries, this is the trip for you.
We meet you at 10am in downtown Healdsburg for a quick bike fitting (we use Specialized Allez bikes) and then we are off on a 30-35 mile ride. We ride past the scenic vineyards of the Dry Creek Valley into the historic haven of Asti, where we take a water break, and then we continue down through Alexander Valley, where beautiful vistas abound. Once we arrive back into Healdsburg, the second half of our day begins.
After a quick van ride, we make our first of two or three winery stops of the day. While you are inside tasting and exploring, your tour guide sets up a delicious Wine Country picnic lunch to help you refuel. After lunch we continue in the van to a couple more small, family owned wineries. We load up any wine purchases that you have made, and we head back into town to drop you off at your car.

After we meet you at 10am, we do a quick bike fitting and then we are off on our tour. We ride 20-40 challenging miles in the morning, and then we refuel with a delicious Wine Country picnic lunch. After lunch we visit a couple of our favorite local wineries, and we will pick up any wine purchases and bring them back to your vehicle at the end of the day. The tour ends at approximately 3:30pm.
Guide gratuity is not included in the tour price; we recommend a $20 gratuity per person for your hardworking guide. Tasting fees are not included in the tour price; most wineries charge a $5-20 tasting fee. Tastings can be shared between two people, and many wineries will waive the tasting fee with a minimum purchase.

Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. There is no dress code in the tasting rooms, so please feel free to be casual! We recommend that you bring layers; the mornings can sometimes be cool, but the weather generally warms up by midday. You are welcome to leave a change of clothes in the support van to change in to after our morning ride.
Default Cancellation Plan
Due to our standard of personal service, cancellations affect us significantly. We strictly adhere to our policies.
1. All cancellations received at least 72 hours prior to the tour date will be charged a $25 per person processing fee.
2. All cancellations received within 72 hours of tour date or no-shows are not eligible for refund.
3. Cancellations will only be honored with a cancellation confirmation number by Getaway Adventures authorized personnel. This consists of numbers and letters. Unfortunately, we will not be able to honor any cancellations without this confirmation number, NO EXCEPTIONS.
WEATHER POLICY
We ride rain or shine. We always have rain ponchos available in the case of light rain or if anyone wants to continue in the rain. For those who prefer not to ride in the rain, your tour guide will happily become your private chauffeur as we continue our tour in the support van.
