Itinerary

We will begin the day at our take-out at Northwestern Lake, where we will have a light snack waiting for you. Here we will hand out wetsuits, booties, life jackets, paddles, and helmets. After getting suited up, we will shuttle you to the top where our river journey begins. The guides will go over river safety skills and other things you'll need to know for the day, then you will meet your guide for the day. After going over paddle techniques on dry land, we're off! The river trip itself is about 3 hours long. Start out in the middle of the most challenging rapid, and your adventure begins. Before we reach the waterfall, we will stop at a beach along the river to teach everyone what to do to stay in the boat. You will have the option of getting out of the raft before we go over (although, I highly recommend it!). This is the highlight of our trip, where we will have a photographer taking pictures of your plunge. Then, we'll tackle the class III rapids of the lower section and view some of the most beautiful sights on the river. We will end our trip at Northwestern Lake, where you can change into dry clothes while we heat up the grills. Enjoy our top sirloin steak (veggie options available), locally grown corn on the cob, potato salad, french bread, and other goodies. We definitely have the best meal on the river! While you are eating and exchanging stories about the day, our photographer Doug will stop by so you can see your awesome pictures from the falls.
