Do you love wine tasting and bike riding? Do you love learning about exotic animals in their natural habitat? If so, our Bike 'N Safari tour is perfect for you! This tour starts out by meeting at Safari West, a wildlife preserve specializing in exotic African animals. We take you by van to the beautiful area of Calistoga where you will begin your morning at some of Napa Valley's best family-owned wineries while riding a bike through the breathtaking scenery.
After visiting a few wineries and riding for a combined 10 miles or so, we then get back in the van and head back to Safari West where you will enjoy a fabulous BBQ lunch.
After lunch, your unforgettable experience on a Safari West tour begins. While riding around in an open air jeep style vehicle, you and your guide will be tracking and learning about exotic and endangered wildlife including African Cape Buffalo, Springbok, Eland, Damara Zebra, Scimitar Horned Oryx, Addax, Red Lechwe, and Blue Wildebeest. If you're lucky, you could look a giraffe in the eye! The tour either ends or begins with a walk on the lower premises of Safari West where your guide will introduce you to African cheetahs, lemurs, and giant porcupines, among others.
Once your Safari West tour is over around 5pm, your day is done and you are taken back to your cars and bid farewell!

After we meet you at 9:30am, we head over to the town of Calistoga, where we do a quick bike fitting and then we are off on our tour. We visit a couple of wineries and enjoy the beautiful Napa Valley views. We then head back to Safari West, where you enjoy a delicious BBQ buffet lunch. After lunch you are off on your afternoon safari. Tour ends at about 4pm.
Guide gratuity is not included in the tour price; we recommend a $20 gratuity per person for your hardworking guide. Tasting fees are not included in the tour price; most wineries charge a $5-20 tasting fee. Tastings can be shared between two people, and many wineries will waive the tasting fee with a minimum purchase.

Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. There is no dress code in the tasting rooms, so please feel free to be casual! We recommend that you bring layers; the mornings can sometimes be cool, but the weather generally warms up by midday.
Default Cancellation Plan
Due to our standard of personal service, cancellations affect us significantly. We strictly adhere to our policies.
1. All cancellations received at least 72 hours prior to the tour date will be charged a $25 per person processing fee.
2. All cancellations received within 72 hours of tour date or no-shows are not eligible for refund.
3. Cancellations will only be honored with a cancellation confirmation number by Getaway Adventures authorized personnel. This consists of numbers and letters. Unfortunately, we will not be able to honor any cancellations without this confirmation number, NO EXCEPTIONS.
WEATHER POLICY
We ride rain or shine. We always have rain ponchos available in the case of light rain or if anyone wants to continue in the rain. For those who prefer not to ride in the rain, your tour guide will happily become your private chauffeur as we continue our tour in the support van.
