New River Full Canyon Overnight

Get a feeling of life on the river with our 26 mile full canyon overnight. Experience the first day of wonderful scenery and gentle rapids on the Upper New River section which is class I to III whitewater. Complimentary sit-on-top kayaks and inflatable duckies as well as a raft are provieded upon request for you enjoyment. A side hike to Dowdy Creek Triple Waterfalls for lunch on day one is a great photo opportunity. After enjoying a leisurely day on the river you will then pull in to make camp and sleep riverside under the stars. Our guides will show off their culinary skills treating you to a fireside dinner guaranteed to please your palate. After dinner you can explore around the camp, check out the sunset, go for a hike, or relax around the campfire and check out the night sky. Day two unfolds with a hearty breakfast, pack up gear and back on the water in rafts to take on the Lower New River Gorge offering up class III to V whitewater. Our first major rapid Surprise, a class III will get your adrenalin punping and set the pace for the next 24 major rapids class III to V. As you proceed down stream not only will our guides navigate you through rapids such as: Upper Railroad, Keeney Rapids, Double Z, Greyhound Bus Stop, Millers Folly, but also entertain you with history and geology of the new River Gorge. Your trip will conclude under the world famous New River Gorge Bridge.

Itinerary

Day 1

The first day includes 13 miles of mellow class I to III whitewater on the Upper New River with an option to choose your craft. We offer a raft for those seeking a relaxing scenic tour and we allow those more adventurous to use our one or two man inflatable duckies or sit on top kayaks for a more individual whitewater experience.  Deli style lunch will be served riverside.  Camping will also be riverside including a delicious dinner prepared by your professional whitewater rafting guide.


Day 2

You will begin day two with your guides showing off their culinary skills once again with a hearty breakfast. This day is where the action picks up, you will be rafting approximately 13 miles of the Lower New River Gorge. The Gorge not only know for its amazing beauty but awesome class III to V whitewater is a great adventure for all levels of rafters. A deli style lunch is also included in day two of our full canyon overnight. You will conclude you adventure under the world famous New River Gorge Bridge. Then its back to the company's basecamp where you began your journey.

Cancellation Information

New River Cancellation Policies Cancellations thirty (30) days prior to your reservation date entitle you to a full refund minus a 15% processing fee. NO REFUNDS are made for cancellations with less than thirty days notice. Please inform all of your group members of this policy. We reserve the right to move trips to other rivers or sections due to water conditions. All trips go rain or shine! Gauley River Cancellation Policies Our reservation policy for the Gauley River differs from that of the New River because of the limited space available and the very short season. When you call to make reservations we will provide information on available space. Gauley reservations are on a first-come first-serve basis, therefore in order to guarantee your requested dates full payment is required. All Gauley reservations must be paid by July 31. Reservations cancelled less than 45 days prior to your trip will not be refunded. A 15% handling fee will be charged for any reservation cancelled 45 days prior to your trip date. Lodging Cancellation Policies Cancellations thirty (30) days prior to your reservation date entitle you to a full refund minus 1 nights lodging.
