The Wenatchee River is one of the top 10 river rafting trips in the country! The fantastic combination of hot weather and huge waves makes the Wenatchee our most popular river rafting trip for beginners and experienced rafters alike. With its headwaters in the heart of the Central Cascades and the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area, the Wenatchee River has the largest volume of raftable water in Washington State. A class 3 to 3+ river, it's known for its long calm stretches and its very distinctive and powerful rapids, the largest rapids in the state! The Wenatchee River is a very "forgiving" river and suits a vast age and ability demographics. *Minimum Age: 8 *2.5 Hours from Seattle Want to have just your group and your guide in your raft? You can book all the seats (2-8 people, plus your guide) on the boat for a private raft. Enjoy the freedom to tailor your trip to your own tastes -- take group pictures, paddle over to interesting wildlife, bow-ride through Drunkard's Drop, get one-on-one time with your guide -- and make your whitewater experience truly memorable. Itinerary

Day 1
You will begin your trip at Cashmere's Riverside Park, where your guides will be waiting. We will have all of your river gear (wetsuits, booties, life jackets, paddles), and after getting changed into your gear, we will shuttle you up to our put-in at Dryden dam. The guides will give a safety talk on things you'll need to remember for the day, so be sure to pay attention! Then, you'll meet your specific guide for the day and go over any other questions you may have...and you're off to tackle the most action-packed section of the Wenatchee! The excitement begins immediately as you launch directly into Upper Gorilla and Sharkstooth, filled with lots of fun waves. A few rapids later is Rodeo Hole, where you'll often see colorful kayakers showing off their moves-this is their favorite play spot in the Wenatchee River. Soon you'll be upon Drunkards Drop, a great wall of whitewater with waves up to 16 feet high! The finale is the sandstone blaster ledges of Snowblind and the massive waves of Granny Rapids. The river trip itself is about 2 hours long and we'll raft 8 miles. We'll take out at Riverside Park, where your cars and dry clothes will be waiting.

Important Travel Information

Destination Location
The meeting place for our Wenatchee River trips is Riverside Park in the city of Cashmere. Meet us in the large dirt parking lot at the east end of the park – you’ll see our van just before the meet time. Riverside Park Cashmere, WA 98815 Located off of Hwy 2 in Cashmere, WA, about 12 miles east of Leavenworth and 12 miles west of Wenatchee. From Highway 2, turn into Cashmere on Aplets Way and cross the bridge over the Wenatchee River. Turn left onto Pleasant Ave. Follow into Riverside Park.

Recommended Gear List

Here's some suggestions for what to bring along:
Swimsuit or shorts to wear under your wetsuit
Sunscreen
Change of clothes (to be left in your car for after the trip)
Towel
Any medications you may need
Water bottle

Baseball cap or brimmed hat to shield your face from the sun
Cheap sunglasses
Guide Gratuity

*Note: Please do not wear any cotton clothing (sweatshirts, jeans, etc.). Unlike wool and polypropylene, cotton will not keep you warm when it gets wet.

Blue Sky Outfitters Provides:
Farmer John style wetsuits (full body without sleeves)
Neoprene booties
Coast Guard Approved life jackets
Water resistant drybags on each raft (for extra sweaters, hats, etc.)

Alcohol Policy

Alcohol cannot be consumed on our rafts. Guests arriving for a trip under the influence of alcohol WILL NOT be permitted to participate, and no refund will be given. For overnight trips, if you would like to bring your own alcohol please feel free to do so. Alcoholic beverages may only be consumed after the trip has ended.

Cancellation Information

If you cancel within 14 days, there is no refund. If you miss your trip or are late for any reason there are no refunds or rescheduling. If you cancel 15 or more days prior to your trip, we will refund you monies paid minus 50% per person in the reservation. We seldom cancel or postpone a trip, but we reserve the right to do so when necessary: due to water conditions, weather, insufficient reservations, or other reasons beyond our control. In such a case, your fees will be refunded or applied to another trip, but not expenses incurred in travel.
