Cruiser bike rentals are available from Brunswick, MD (near Harpers Ferry, WV ) where riders pick up bikes and ride directly to the C&O Canal, the 185 mile path bordering the Potomac River from Georgetown to Cumberland. The scenery along this gentle terrain, tree-lined path is fantastic, and good riverside picnic spots are easily found along the shores of the Potomac River. Shady biking conditions and wading locations along the river make this trip a great option for those hot summer days. In the fall this tree-lined trail becomes radiant with the colors of changing leaves. Multi-day trips are possible with biker campgrounds every 3 to 6 miles along the bike path.
