Yosemite National Park is the flagship of America's National Park Service. While only a few hours from San Francisco, Yosemite is still today a magnificent wilderness that will complete your trip to Northern California. Get out of the city and discover America's tallest waterfalls, biggest trees, and highest cliffs. Rising 4,000 ft from the Valley floor, El Capitan & Half Dome are some of the world's most famous big wall rock climbs. This experience in one of California's most unique landscapes will leave you breathless with its beauty and a memory to last a lifetime.
Escape to the great outdoors. This 3 day camping trip takes you off the beaten path to Yosemite's high country where you will hike to an alpine lake and have the option to summit a peak. Once at the top, you will enjoy a 360 degree view from Yosemite's geographic center and a well-deserved lunch. Hike to the Giant Sequoia Trees and have a full free day in Yosemite Valley. There are many options from lazing by the Merced River to 14 mile hikes. On this trip, we see more of Yosemite than most who visit and enjoy cookouts, campfires and swimming in the rivers and lakes. This trip is not to be missed. Enjoy Yosemite the way John Muir did, the father of Yosemite.

Itinerary
Day 1
We leave San Francisco in the morning after picking up at our meeting point at the corner of Mason and O'Farrell in front of the Hilton Hotel at 6:45 am. Once out of the city we stop to purchase fresh food for our time in the park. Once we have all of our provisions we will cross the Central Valley and through the Gold Country on our way into the mountains. On this first day we hike down to the Giant Sequoia trees for a picnic lunch (not included), among the largest living things on earth. The hike through the Sequoias is shaded and pleasant and brings you right up close to these massive wooden monuments, some of which are over one thousand years old and measure up to 30ft wide & 300ft tall. Continuing into the park on an 1 1/2 hour guided tour, we descend into Yosemite Valley, which is the most famous and picturesque part of Yosemite with some of the world's tallest waterfalls and incredible vistas made famous by the photographer Ansel Adams. While in the valley your guide will give you an orientation to the park as well as an explanation of the itinerary and options that you will have for the next two days. After some free time in Yosemite Valley you will head for the campsite to set up the tents and cook a delicious meal, ending the day with some drinks around the campfire as you decide what to do with your next two days in the park.
Day 2
Rising early we prepare breakfast and lunch, clean up camp and head off in the van for a fun day in the park full of hiking, sightseeing and exploring. The itinerary can vary depending on the chosen hike for the day but we normally go up into the high country to explore the beautiful alpine lakes, snow melt waterfalls, amazing granite rock formations and trails as high as 11,000 feet. At the end of the day we head back to camp for dinner and unwind by the campfire.
Day 3
Day three is what we call the free day where the exact itinerary is flexible, based on the interests of the group. Normally we head into Yosemite Valley where you can choose one of the number of great hikes, rent a bike or relax in the shade by the emerald green Merced River. After another full day in the park we head back to San Francisco arriving in the city back to the Hilton around 9pm. During May, June and early July (snowpack dependent), you have the option to join a Whitewater rafting trip on the Merced River. This Class III-IV adventure is an additional $140-$180 depending on the day. This adventure includes camping equipment (except a sleeping bag), seven meals (LDBLDBL), park fees, tax, and transportation. If you need to borrow a sleeping bag, we will rent it to you at a rate of $30 for the trip. Trips depart every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from May 25- October 15. Come enjoy the good times with Incredible Adventures.
