With its headwaters in the heart of the Central Cascades and the snow white peaks of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area, the Wenatchee River has the largest volume of raftable water in Washington State. A class 3 to 3+ river, it's known for its long calm stretches and its very distinctive and powerful rapids, the largest rapids in the state! Since there are few other obstructions on the river other than the occasional bridge pillar, the Wenatchee River is a very "forgiving" river and almost any age and ability has a blast here.
In addition to rafting, the Wenatchee River area offers plenty of things to do and is home to the town of Leavenworth, an authentically recreated Bavarian Village that's a favorite of visitors from all over the country.
