Brimming with adventurous possibility and inviting exploration, Katmai's Valley of 10,000 Smokes is a peak-bagger's dream. Rimmed with active, glaciated volcanoes, the Valley is a must-see for anyone with a "peak" experience in mind.

Accessing the range by ski plane, we'll spend the first week camped on the glacier practicing
backcountry and glacier travel skills and searching out memorable first ascents and descents.
The second week will be spent touring European-style through glacier passes and dramatic
peaks.

Recognizing the need for a comprehensive ski-mountaineering educational program we are returning into Lake Clark National Park's stunning and remote Neacola Mountains in 2009, where we'll enjoy 10-full days of Alaska ski-mountaineering lessons with AMGA certified guide Joe Stock.
