East of Marrakech, past the foothills of the Western High Atlas Mountains lies the Middle Atlas range where you will find the walled market town of Demnate, with its fascinating Kasbah and ancient Jewish Quarter. Take in the panoramic beauty of Morocco's secluded Happy Valley. The stark mountains give way to terraced fields, shaded pastures watered by mountain streams and orchards of fruit trees - watched over by the Berber villages high up on the slopes.
Some of the highlights of this tour include taking the zigzag trail into the hamlet of Ait Said, travelling on foot to the top of Tizi n' Oumsoud, for a spectacular view of the wide Tinoughrine Valley, or a hike to the M'Goun summit - the second highest peak in North Africa.
Explore the Oulilimt Valley with its extraordinary rock formations and isolated Berber hamlets. A trip to Teghremt N'Ait Ahmed (2,235 metres), will take you to a bizarre sandcastle, once a stopping place for the north-south camel caravans. Also visit Tizi n' Ait Imi (2,905 metres) and just enjoy the beauty of the M'Goun and Ait Bou Guemes Valleys, spreading at your feet.
