You're certain to laugh, splash, scream and soak yourself silly on PA's Lehigh River! Great for first-timers, and a real blast for experienced rafters too. April through October, it doesn't get any better than this! Ages 10+. Itinerary: Your adventure will begin at our Adventure Center with a trip briefing from the trip leader before gearing up. Don't forget a lunch or light snack for the stop along the river trip! (You may purchase a box lunch from our food service for $6.50 per person) Then, a short bus ride will take you to the section of the Lehigh River you will be rafting. At the put-in area, each guide will go over a detailed safety orientation, paddling instructions. On the river you will experience rushing rapids, big waves, beautiful scenery and lots of fun. Your journey down river will take approx. 3 to 4 hours. The shuttle driver will greet us at the end of the river trip for ride back to the Adventure Center. Arriving back at the Adventure Center, action packed photos of your trip can be viewed and are available for purchase. Plan some time to shop for T-shirts or that special souvenir in our gift shop. Warm showers with spacious changing facilities along with a covered picnic area and a sand volleyball court are available. . Organize your party into paddling teams of 6 per raft on the Lehigh River. . Be sure everyone meets the minimum age requirements for your raft trip. . Give everyone driving directions and check-in time. Please emphasize the importance of being on time in order for the group to stay together. . Make any cancellations at least 15 days in advance. . Make final payment on time to assure your reservation. Important: Raft trips must launch according to strictly enforced Park and municipal schedules. We cannot wait or be responsible for getting our guests on the river if they arrive late. Please allow adequate leeway to assure that you don't arrive later than your scheduled check-in time. What to bring: . Old sneakers . Bathing suit or shorts . Change of clothes and shoes . Eyeglass straps . Suntan lotion and a cap or visor in summer . Wool hat, sweater, socks, gloves - in early spring . Light windbreaker (no hood) . Driver's license (if renting wet suits - 1 license per 6 suits) . Simple lunch or order box lunch from our food service Please Do Not Bring: . Alcohol/drugs (not allowed on the river or in our camping areas) . Ice chest (these take up too much room and can pose a hazard in rough water) . Hooded rain suits/ponchos (unsafe for use in moving water) . Bare feet, loose sandals, "crocs" or flip-flops (unsafe on the river) . Cotton clothing in cold weather (makes you colder when wet; use polypropylene or wool) . Expensive camera . Jewelry, valuables . Wallets (lock these in your car) . Pets (not allowed on the river or in the campground)
