½ day. Arkansas Valley Adventures offers rock climbing lessons and guided climbing trips. AVA provides half-day for the beginner, or intermediate. Our guides will teach you the basics of belaying, rappelling and setting anchors.

Rock climbing in the amazing Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Recommended routes are: Maiden Voyage (III 5.9), Casual Route (II 5.8), Escape Artist (III 5.10), Leisure Climb (III 5.9), Journey Home (III 5.10), and many more! Basic multi-pitch traditional experience required.

Our rock wall is available for off-site rentals within a 75-mile radius of River and Trail Outfitters. We have been to private parties, block parties, church events, youth group events, large festivals, fairs, and more.
