Climb aboard this exciting, one-day mini-expedition! rive deep into the backcountry of Canyonlands National Park in a rugged (but air-conditioned!) four-wheel drive; in the afternoon play in splashy class I-II rapids and enjoy a picnic lunch on the river bank.
Put on your swimsuit and a cover -up for the AM 4x4 in the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands. Peer into the Colorado River, see incredible views as the dirt road climbs a 2000 ft escaprment, go around Dead Horse State Park to return via Long Canyon, under a fallen boulder, creating an organic tunnel on the trail. Then shed your cover up, change your shoes for laughs for all on a different stretch of the Colorado River containing 4 sweet, easy rapids in a 6 mile river course. Perfect for a 40 pound child and the child's Grandparent. The river is perfect for our desert weather, to cool off and get out from behind your windshield. (Ask about additional dates)
