This program is designed to give you the utmost individual attention, based on a maximum 4:1 student/instructor ratio. We start in our privately owned, heated indoor pool where our instructors share their skills and instructional expertise while they introduce and help you fine-tune strokes and balance skills. A healthy and delicious lunch is provided before moving on to a stretch of river appropriate for the skill and ability level of everyone in the course.
The focus is on basic boat control, peel-outs, eddy turns, ferries, and practicing maneuvers and building a repertoire of skills that will come automatically when you need them. No previous paddling experience necessary. All equipment, transportation, and lunch included.
