This course is designed for the paddler with a bombproof whitewater roll. The Grand Canyon of the Snake River has many class III rapids famous for awesome big-water surfing and hole-riding. You'll see a variety of river features, and possibly a variety of rivers, but the focus of this course is not on paddling downstream.
We spend time at several of our favorite play spots, including King's wave, Taco hole, Big Kahuna, and the legendary Lunch Counter! The one-day course will focus on front and side surfing, flat spins, stern squirts and cartwheeling. In the two-day course you will progress from solid boat control on waves and in holes, to developing your surfing into spins, 360's, cartwheels, wave wheels, loops and other retentive moves. We provide you with the latest rodeo boats or you can bring your own.
