Snake River Kayak & Canoe

Welcome to Snake River Kayak & Canoe!

Based in the shadow of the Tetons since 1976, we are specialists in the field of outdoor recreation. Since the very first day we have been committed to quality, service, and growth by maintaining a high level of safety in all our activities, making them educational, and having a lot of fun in the process. We bring you skilled and experienced professional guides, the newest paddling and safety equipment, a wide variety of programs, and a full service Paddlesports specialty store. We work year round to develop new programs and improve on the old ones. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, most enjoyable and rewarding outdoor experience possible.

WHITEWATER RAFTING
Whether you prefer a scenic float under the majestic Teton mountain range, or crashing through class III/IV rapids, the world famous Snake River provides the perfect whitewater experience for first-timers, families, and seasoned veterans alike. The only outfitter offering two-man inflatable “duckie” raft trips, we have the smallest whitewater rafts in Jackson Hole. For those who want to take rafting to the next level we offer hands-on, self-guided rafting adventures. We also have a guide school for people thinking about going pro.

RUBBER DUCKIES
The Inflatable Kayak, or Rubber Duckie, is a unique and exciting way of going down the river for the whole family, with no previous experience necessary. Inflatable Kayaking is much more exciting than white-water rafting because you are in complete control of your own boat at all times. Duckies combine the maneuverability of a kayak with the stability and safety of a raft. Safe, fun, and suitable for anyone in search of adventure, this is your opportunity to get more challenge and freedom when you ride the waves. Complete instruction on paddling the Duckie, all equipment and transportation is included. For those who might not be ready for the eskimo roll but are tired of lumbering along in a large raft, duckies are the way to go!

Jackson Hole, Wyoming is the ultimate classroom for learning how to kayak or canoe. Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks provide us with a beautiful background and a variety of lakes and rivers with dependable water flows all spring, summer, and fall. SEA KAYAKING IN YELLOWSTONE
The absolute best way to experience the natural wonders of Yellowstone National Park is by taking one of our single or multi-day backcountry kayak tours on Shoshone or Yellowstone Lake. These kayaks are specifically designed touring kayaks (seakayaks) which are stable, fast, and easy to paddle. An experienced instructor/guide accompanies each trip and no prior kayaking experience is required, we welcome first time paddlers and seasoned veterans alike. We’ll explore the rocky shores, catch glimpses of elk, moose, bear and deer as they come down to the lake for a drink, and smile at the otters playing in our wake. All equipment, transportation, and lunch are provided. Yellowstone National Park never looks better than from the seat of a kayak!

GUIDED FISHING TRIPS
Fishing in the Jackson Hole and Yellowstone National Park region has long been regarded as some of the best trout fishing in the world. The popularity comes from the many diverse and varied fly-fishing and spin fishing opportunities. The Snake River, meandering along the base of the Tetons, is perhaps the most scenic river to fish anywhere. Exactly how fishable a particular stretch of river or lake is depends on the time of year.
