WHITEWATER! That is what the 3 day Highlights of Cataract Canyon is about. You will encounter rapids with names like Capsize, North Sea's, Little Niagara, Satan's Gut and Ben Hurt. As you continue downstream the rapids become more intense until you enter the Big Drops the steepest descent on the entire Colorado River.
The 3 day trips are a "Highlight of Cataract Canyon." The motorized 'J-rig' allows us to get through the canyon in less time. While there is still opportunity to hike, there may be less time for just floating or some camp activities than on the 5 day trip. J-rigs are larger, more stable and more comfortable than oarboats and can also carry more amenities.
