This Half-Day Tour is a combination of our Kayak Tour of the 7 Caves and our Freefall Bike Tour. The Kayak Tour is an exploration of the La Jolla Ecological Reserve and its sea caves. Kayakers will likely see California Sea Lions, leopard sharks, Garibaldi (California state fish), the Kelp Forest, and the occasional dolphin. This tour portion includes all equipment, tour guide, complimentary lockers and changing rooms. Following the first tour portion, there will be a break to change and eat for approximately 45 minutes before the second portion begins.
The bike portion starts with an amazing 360 degree view from atop Mt. Soledad at the war memorial and controversial cross. Then the tour will begin the thrilling decent into Pacific Beach; stopping at Crystal Pier before cruising down Pacific Beach's Boardwalk. The route wraps around the northern shore of Mission Bay before touring the La Jolla coastline, with stops such as Windansea, the Children's Pool to see the harbor seals, and much more. Explore the La Jolla Caves at the Cave Store tunnel by walking down the steps of Sunny Jim's cave before traversing the scenic cliffs on the way back to La Jolla Shores.
