Whitewater Rafting
Experience this untamed section of continuous rapids (II-III+) on the Uncompahgre River! This 9 mile stretch is the perfect choice for those looking for a more challenging run.
Private access to the narrows section of the Uncompahgre River provides a unique and remote experience for paddlers. We are the only outfitter on this un-crowded river, providing paddlers with this rare opportunity to get off the beaten path. Our put-in is 2 miles below Ridgway State Park, and minutes from the RIGS shop.
The majestic San Juan Mountains and mesas fill the back drop for the entire run as we float through State Wildlife Areas, historic ranchlands, and the unique Uncompahgre river canyon.
PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE TAXES & FEES
Itinerary
On the Water
Trips will depart promptly at designated trip time and head to the put-in location, just minutes from our shop! Once we arrive at the the put-in, guides outfit each person with PFD's (personal flotation devise) and perform the RIGS "Saftey Talk." From here, we split into individual boat loads (typically: 5 to 7 per-boat.) and review individualized instruction from your guide. Once the stage is set for a successful, safe and exciting trip we hit the water!
