Beginner Kayak Lessons:Scenic Saturday
An introduction to the basics of whitewater and flatwater kayaking with no prior experience required. Instruction begins with a dry land session. The Class I-II run covers paddling strokes, wet exits, safety, self rescue, water reading, and analyzing rapids.

Cruiser bike rentals are available from Brunswick, MD (near Harpers Ferry, WV) where riders pick up bikes and ride directly to the C&O Canal. The scenery along this gentle terrain, tree-lined path is fantastic, and good riverside picnic spots are easily found along the shores of the Potomac River.
