Funyak Excursions are an excellent way to enhance your river adventure. No experience is necessary! Self-paddle a two-person inflatable Funyak along with one of our experienced guides for hands-on excitement. You're in control as you pass the scenic banks and solitary beauty of the Arizona Sonoran Desert.

Wild animals are less intimidated by our small Funyaks. Get up close to the river banks and watch for our newest addition to the family, a young bald eagle who's just getting her white feathers!

Itinerary

Itenerary for AM and PM tours

9:00am / 1:00pm - Depart Walgreens for Salt River.

9:15am / 1:15pm - Arrive Salt River put-in. Safety briefing and life vest fitting.

9:30am / 1:30pm - Launch Funyaks and begin our adventure!

11:30am / 3:30pm - Reach take-out site. Van is waiting.

11:45am / 3:45pm - Depart river and head back to Walgreens.

12:00pm / 4:00pm - Arrive Walgreens.

Gear List

We provide all safety equipment and ice cold bottled water but there are a couple of clothing items you might want to know about.

You MUST wear shoes at all times while on the river. Flip flops tend to float away on their own so old tennis shoes, water shoes, or sandals with an ankle strap are recommended.

Many people bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and a waterproof camera as well. Please DO NOT bring any styrofoam or glass on the river.

We suggest that you wear clothing appropriate for the weather you expect to encounter. If its May through September it will be hot, usually in the high 90s and over 100 degrees. If it is December through March it will be cold, usually in the 60s. Any other month is generally fair weather.
