I still remember my first trip on the Peace River. It was at least twenty years ago and it was amazing. It was absolutely beautiful and the river flowed so peacefully. We stopped and found amazing fossils at several locations. There was very little "civilization" along the river.

Cars are parked at the end of the run and tubers are shuttled upriver where they will begin a leisurely float down the serene water of the Shenandoah. The river meanders lazily as you drop over shallow ledges along the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains on this mellow and beautiful stretch of river.
