Argentina for Adventurers 15 Days invites you to visit the most popular destinations of the country: Buenos Aires, Calafate & Ushuaia in Patagonia and Iguazu Falls, all of them offering a wide variety of activities which will allow relaxing and enjoying both natural places and those pleasures of cities.

As an addition for those trekking lovers, we include a 3-day stay in the Trekking Capital of Argentina where you will feel the vastness of the Patagonian Andes in a small charming mountain village like El Chaltén.

Itinerary

Day 1

Buenos Aires Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you will be taken to your comfortable hotel. The city offers different activities to enjoy during your first day; we highly recommend trying any of the Say Hueque recommended restaurants where you will find a variety of styles from the great Parrillas (BBQ) and pastas to Mexican, veggie and signature cuisine.

Day 2

City Tour, DB&B/Inner & Tango Show Breakfast. Enjoy our morning half day City Tour that will provide you a general view of the city and its attractions. During about three hours you will be able to visit Retiro, Palermo, 9th of July Avenue (the Colon Opera House and the Obelisk), Downtown (the Congress, the Mayo Square, Mayo Avenue, Government House), Puerto Madero and San Telmo with stops in Recoleta (cemetery and Francia Square) and La Boca (Caminito). In the evening, we invite you to have dB&B/Inner in our selected tango house where you will be offered a spectacular performance of the local dancing: Tango.

Day 3

Buenos Aires / El Calafate Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to El Calafate. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your selected hotel. We highly recommend visiting the birds reserve Nimez Lagoon for sunset.

Day 4

Perito Moreno Glacier After an early breakfast, you will leave in a full day private excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier. Inside Los Glaciares National Park, you will take the route surrounding Lago Argentino where 80km from El Calafate, Perito Moreno Glacier lies imposing with its 60-meter high ice walls. Follow the paths that lead you to face the glacier and get different impressive views of it while continuous detachments and constant ice breaking noises echoes in the site. Return to the hotel in the evening. Restaurants really offer quality and service, we recommend trying the famous “Cordero al Asador”.

Day 5

Upsala & Onelli Glaciers After an early breakfast, full day excursion to Upsala & Onelli Glaciers. You will leave your hotel early in the morning to the pier in Punta Bandera, where you will board your boat for the full day navigation among glaciers in Lake Argentino. You will be sailing among floating icebergs to reach Upsala Glacier, the largest one in the area, with walls up to 80 m height. Landing in Onelli Bay find us surrounded by forest, a typical Patagonian forest of Lenga and Guindo covered by "old man's beard". After crossing the forest, you will reach Onelli Lagoon and Onelli glacier. You will, then, sail back to Punta Banderas where the transportation will be waiting to return to El Calafate in the evening.

Day 6

El Calafate / El Chaltén Breakfast. Morning bus ride to El Chalten. Upon arrival at noon; accommodation in your selected hotel. Enjoy any of the short visits or walks from the village. We highly recommend preparing your food and backpack for day 4, multiple trekking options are waiting.

Day 7

El Chaltén Breakfast. Day at leisure to enjoy any of the self guided treks in the area. We recommend taking the path to the feet of Mount Fitz Roy: Laguna Los Tres..

Day 8

El Chaltén / El Calafate Breakfast. Day at leisure to enjoy any of the self guided treks in the area. We recommend taking the path to the feet of Mount Torre: Laguna & Glacier Torre as it takes less time. You will board your bus back to El Calafate at 6pm. Accommodation..

Day 9

El Calafate / Ushuaia Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to Ushuaia. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your selected hotel. In the evening, enjoy a welcome drink at Kuar, our preferred bar overlooking the Beagle Channel where the sunset turns to be a unique show.

Day 10

Tierra del Fuego National Park After breakfast, you will leave in a full day excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Discover the beautiful End of the World in a different way, you will start your excursion trekking off the beaten paths admiring flora and fauna until you reach a bay where kayaks will be waiting for the next leg of your adventure after lunch (provided in the tour). After one hour canoeing Lapataia River and the Beagle channel, return to the hotel.

Day 11

Beagle Channel Navigation, Ushuaia / Buenos Aires Breakfast. You will leave from the pier in a morning navigation of the Beagle Channel. You will be taken in a 3 to 4-hour excursion along the channel to get wonderful views of the city from the sea and islands. After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your comfortable hotel.

Day 12

Buenos Aires / Puerto Iguazu Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to Puerto Iguazu. Upon arrival, you will be taken to Sheraton Iguazu Hotel located inside the National Park on the Argentine side. Time at leisure to enjoy the swimming pool or walk around the paths in the park.

Day 13

Argentine Side of Iguazu Falls After breakfast, you will leave in a full day excursion to the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls. You will be guided around the several paths inside the National Park to have incredible view of the more than 200 falls. At noon, you will have free time for lunch and the chance to take the optional Great Adventure navigation which takes you for a ride around the falls, the boat even stays for a while underneath a fall! In the afternoon, you will board the train that leads you to the greatest fall in the park: the Devil’s Throat. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 14

Brazilian Side of Iguazu Falls / Buenos Aires Breakfast. Morning half day excursion to the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls from where you will get panoramic views of the falls visited the previous day. At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 15

Buenos Aires Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the International Airport to take your flight back home.

Gear List

Different kind of clothes are required depends ond the climate.



In Buenos the average temperature is 12ºC in winter and 23ºC in summer.



Iguazu has a tropical climate and in winter temperatures goes from 15º to 25ºC and in summer is definetly hot. You should take hat, sunglasses and a waterproof jacket is reccomended for the falls.



Clothes reccomended for Patagonia:



Footwear: Sport shoes or trekking boots, with warm woolen or cotton socks. Rubber and après ski boots, as well as high heel shoes are not advisable.



Outfit: Comfortable sports wear, long trousers, warm sweater or pile, water or windproof jacket, sun glasses, sun block, gloves.
