Set sail from Chelsea Piers a sports and lifestyle mecca in the heart of Manhattan! Located on the Hudson River at 22nd Street, spreading over three piers along the waterfront. You will find a complete spa and exercise club, skating rinks, climbing wall, golf practice range, many different places to eat, shops and bustling marina activity.
The Learn to Sail course provides the sailing skills and fundamental knowledge to take you through the intermediate level. You learn aboard the award-winning Colgate 26 sailboat - safe and comfortable, yet spirited and exciting! At course end, you'll competently handle daysailers up to 30 feet with confidence.
This 3 day schedule takes place over two weekends (Sun start and following Sat, Sun) and includes 1-1/2 hours of classroom each day followed by 6 hours of on-water instruction with a break for lunch ashore.
