We run our trips on either the Middle Fork or North Fork of the Flathead River, both of which border Glacier National Park. These waters support native West Slope Cutthroat along with Rainbow and some Brook trout. You'll be fishing from a dory which can accommodate 2 people. Our guides are very knowledgeable, and if you don't have much experience they will be happy to teach you some handy techniques. On overnight trips all necessary equipment is provided and you'll be camping alongside the river on Flathead National Forest lands. We also send along an extra oarsperson to row the gear boat and set up camp while you and your guide are fishing. Our guides are not only the best anglers around, they're great cooks too and serve up delicious meals.The Custom Overnight Fishing Trip can be from 2-5 days in length. It is priced per boat (1-2 people), $700/boat/day. So one person for 2 days is $1400 or two people for 2 days is also $1400. Our dories hold 2 people and that is why we price these trips per boat.

All equipment (i.e. sleeping bag, pad and tent) is provided. Lifejackets are provided and are mandatory. Fishing equipment and flies are also provided upon request. All trips require the purchase of a <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Montana</st1:place></st1:State> fishing license, which can be taken care of in West Glacier prior to meeting us for your trip or can be gotten on line at www.fwp.state.mt.gov/fishing.<o:p></o:p> You will be camping out at night in a remote and scenic spot along the river. Your guides will set up a kitchen to prepare and serve delicious home cooked meals that they are known for. The guides will provide meals from lunch on Day 1 to lunch on Day 3. All cooking utensils and cooking gear will be provided. You will receive a lightweight coffee mug, which you are welcome to keep. By layering clothing you can adjust to the changing temperatures as needed. It is important to stay away from cotton when fishing in Glacier’s temperamental weather. Synthetic shirts, pants, jackets and socks wick away moisture and dry more quickly than cotton. All of these layers combined are a safety measure that will keep you comfortable and guard against hypothermia. We also sell many of these items at our gift and gear store in case you don’t have an outdoor store near you. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Generally one t-shirt for the daytime one to change into is a good idea. Having one change of shorts or long pants after fishing will be fine. You’ll want to bring one set of polypro long underwear. Over the long underwear top layer you’ll want the mid-weight fleece shirt, which is basically a non-cotton sweatshirt. Over the long underwear top and bottoms you can wear the waterproof/breathable jacket and pants. For socks, we recommend bringing one pair for camp. We suggest bringing a polar fleece jacket as an extra layer. Your gear should be divided into items needed during the day and over-night items to be packed on the gear boat. Day items should include warm cloths, rain gear, sun protection, and water bottle. All camping equipment and over-night items will be packed on the gear boat, which will not be accessible during the day. Please pack minimally, and plan to share dry bags. Your guide will carry a first aid kit, toilet paper, trowel, and hand sanitizer.<o:p></o:p>
