This one-and-a-quarter-hour ski lesson is designed to introduce kids to the fun of gliding on snow. Children will learn to ski on flat terrain and on hills (their favorite!) using games and fun activities to keep them excited and motivated. Small groups of six allow for individual attention.
The lesson is recommended for children ages 6 to 10. Children ages 11 and up should enter the Beginner Adult Ski Lesson.
Includes trail pass valid for the entire day. If you opt to rent skis, the rental is also valid for the day.
Itinerary
First 15 Minutes: Introduction to Skiing
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">We’ll begin with a game, how else?<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>We’ll introduce your kids to moving around with skis on their feet and get them excited about this new sport!</SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"> <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
Next 30 Minutes: Flat Terrain
The bulk of the class takes place on our flat teaching tracks, where your kids will learn the classical skiing motion, the "Diagonal Stride," using games and other fun activities.
Final 30 Minutes: Beginning Hills
What could be more fun than skiing down hills? We spend the final portion of the lesson on a small hill, learning to ski up and down while maintaining control. At the end of the lesson, we’ll take a short tour of the area.
