Experience the best of both worlds on this combination jeep and zip adventure! We begin on downtown's narrow streets past the State Capitol, Russian Orthodox Church, and Governor's mansion, then cruise to North Douglas Island and walk the Rainforest Trail. This easy, well-surfaced, 1.5 mile path leads us through forest, wetland, and ultimately the intertidal zones of a remote beach with an unforgettable view. Learn about the ecosystem and enjoy opportunities for wildlife viewing and photographs.
Next we drive the mountain road up to Eaglecrest ski area, the home of Alaska Zipline Adventures, for a canopy tour and adventure of a lifetime! Enjoy the unique thrill of zipping through the trees across 7 ziplines and an aerial suspension bridge, then land in our new, uniquely designed treehouse. Once you walk back to the ski lodge, sit back, relax, and enjoy a slideshow of photos from the zipline tour, or purchase a local beer. This tour is sure to stimulate all of your senses.
This sea-to-sky adventure is one you will surely never forget. * Time: 5 hours * Cost: $199.00 per person (2 person minimum) plus tax * Each guest is provided a light snack and beverage, binoculars, rain poncho for the Rainforest Trail/rain gear for canopy tour (if necessary), and blanket should you choose to cruise with the top down in the jeep).
Participants must be 10 years of age or older, weigh between 70-250 lbs (safety restriction for the zipline tour), and be in good physical condition. This tour is not recommended for persons who are pregnant, prone to seizures, or have neck or back injuries. Be sure to wear shoes with a closed toe and closed heel. Zipline gear and rain jackets are provided on the tour.
