Itinerary
Day1:
<P><FONT face=Verdana color=#000000 size=1>The trip begins near Granite, Colorado for our exciting<FONT color=#000000> <EM><FONT color=#000000>Pine Creek</FONT></EM> </FONT>portion of the trip. The group will have plenty of time before getting into the Class IV (V) whitewater as the river spills through steep-grade boulder choked rapids. The first day of rafting takes us through the <EM><FONT color=#000000>Numbers</FONT></EM> section and the <FONT color=#000000>famed <EM><FONT color=#000000>Pine Creek</FONT></EM> (V</FONT><FONT color=#000000>) </FONT>rapid on the Arkansas River with over 20 rapids.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Verdana color=#000000 size=1>This trip camps at the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area site known as Railroad Bridge Camp site. Our staff will greet you with a delicious appetizer and cold beverage after a high adrenaline afternoon. Relax around a campfire where we prepare a delicious meal from either menu, Filet Mignon, baked potato and green salad or the teriyaki chicken cashew stir fry over steamed rice. To top it off our guides will treat you to a freshly baked pineapple-upside-down cake.</FONT></P>
Day2:
<FONT face=Verdana color=#000000 size=1>The day starts with a breakfast of champions; eggs, French toast, and bacon served with coffee and juice. Once the group is ready we set off for another fun day of whitewater which begins from our camp just upstream above Buena Vista through the <I>Narrows</I> section of the Arkansas. Continuous Class III rapids like the <FONT color=#000000><FONT color=#000000><EM><FONT color=#000000>Fractions</FONT></EM>,</FONT> </FONT><FONT color=#000000><EM><FONT color=#000000>Frog Rock</FONT></EM>, </FONT><EM><FONT color=#000000>House Rock</FONT></EM> and many more eventually lead down to an exciting drop known as the <EM><FONT color=#000000>Silver Bullet</FONT></EM> (IV). Yet another fun filled full-day of rafting for the adventurer!</FONT>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face=Arial>You won’t need much. Lakota Guides will outfit you with most everything you’ll need, in fact most of the items you’ll need are what you would bring on a typical overnight while staying at a hotel.</FONT></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face=Arial>We will provide you with <B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">dry bags</B> for clothes, a <B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Mountain Hardware tent</B>, <B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">sleeping pad</B>, a <B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">sleeping bag</B>. Ideally you should be able to pack all of your items into two paper grocery bags.</FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face=Arial>Each participant will be partnered with another; sharing tents and dry bags reduces excess gear. Groups traveling in even numbers will of course pair up within their own party. Individuals requesting a private tent will be charged an additional fee.</FONT></P>

On our trips we provide you with a complimentary glass of wine if you wish for more libations we’ll have room to pack it on our boats. If you are unable to purchase it prior to departure our guides can swing you by a store prior to launch (NO GLASS CONTAINERS.)</FONT></P>
