It flows north out of Colorado and starts in Northgate Canyon at over 8,000 feet, the scenery is ringed by snow-capped mountain ranges. Blue Ribbon fishery for the angler's delight is an option. Northgate Canyon is the start with intense Class III-IV rapids like Stovepipe, the Wall in the Narrows and Windy Hole. The trout fishing is excellent and a Wyoming fishing license is needed.
