<body bgcolor='White' style='font-family:sans-serif;font-size:10pt;'>The 8-Mile Scenic Float begins at Pritchard Creek and travels past the nesting areas of both bald eagles and ospreys. The trip is a great way to see the beauty of the river and the geology that forms the Grand Canyon of the Snake River, without getting wet. The river is home to a variety of waterfowl and native animals including moose, deer and river otters. Early morning is the watering time for most animals along the river, and affords the best opportunity for wildlife viewing. Feel free to bring your camera with you! 
This trip takes about 3-3 1/2 hours and leaves once a day in the morning throughout the whole season.

Day 1

Please arrive at our office 30 minutes before your departure time

Gear List

Feel free to bring a backpack with any clothes or extra snacks you might need throughout the trip.  We do have some water on the raft, but it is also smart to bring your own should you need extra hydration for a hot day. Morning trips can be cool, but usually warm up very fast.  Feel free to bring a light coat for the start of the trip. There is a chance your feet might get wet getting in and out of the raft, or that a small wave might roll over a tube, so please dress accordingly.  We do supply splash jackets on the raft in the event of a mountain storm that might come through during the trip.    Any items you decide you don't need can simply be left on the bus, and will be there for you at the end of the trip.

Is This Trip For You?

This is a great family trip for all experience levels. You will not be paddling during this scenic trips, so all you need to do is sit back, spot wildlife and listen to your guide tell stories.

Destination Location

Our office in town is located at 265 W. Broadway on Hwy 89/26/189. We are on the same block as New York Sub, the Boardroom, and Shogun Sushi, about 3 blocks south of the town square. The address for the KOA is 9705 So. Hwy 89. We are roughly 10 miles south of the town of Jackson on Hwy. 89, just after you cross the Snake River for the second time.

Transportation

We provide transportation to and from the river once you arrive at our office. If you need a pickup in town at your hotel, we also provide a shuttle service.
