This trip is perfect for those of you who want to get out on the water but don't have time for a full day of rafting. Experience all the thrills the New River Gorge has to offer blasting your way through Class III-V rapids. Trip can last from 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours depending on water level. Departure is 10 in the morning. For ages 11 and up.

Itinerary

Check In

 If you are lodging with us please check in at our Office upon arrival. If the office is closed please check in at our General Store next door. There is no set time for check in. If arriving before noon you should let us know so we are ready for your group. Keep track of your cabin keys – lost keys are $5/key. If you are rafting only, please arrive 45 minutes prior to trip time. You will check in at the General Store. If joining us for breakfast prior to your rafting adventure, breakfast is served one hour prior to trip time.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Raft Day/Check In

Check in at the General Store at the location you are staying at for your trip and to take care of last minute items and rent wetsuits if needed. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p> If joining us for breakfast (if purchased) it is served one hour prior to trip time. Be dressed and ready 30 minutes prior to scheduled raft time for the Trip Leader Talk. Have your items locked in your vehicle and bring your keys to the talk. We will keep them safe while you're on the river. The Trip Leader will advise your group so you can get your gear fitted (pfd's/ paddles), and prepare you for the ride to the river. Once fitted and equipment handed out, the vehicles will leave for the river at the scheduled trip time. <o:p></o:p> Lunch is provided.  Dinner is served (if purchased) on the patio of food pavilion 45 minutes after you return from the river. Don't miss the day's video and photo viewing. <o:p></o:p> If not lodging with us there is no formal check out procedure after the rafting adventure. <o:p></o:p>

Check Out

If lodging with us check-out time is 11:00 AM unless otherwise arrange with us during check-in. Please check-out at our General Store. If checking-out before opening hours, please leave key to cabins inside on table.  Lost key charge is $5/key. Gear List

For Warm Weather Months: Water shoes/sandals that strap onto your feet or tennis shoes, shorts, bathing suit, a nylon jacket or synthetic fiber pullover if windy or rainy conditions exist, sunglasses with straps and sun screen. (Cotton clothing is not suggested) For Cool Weather Months: Wetsuits, splash jackets, and neoprene booties can be rented separately or as all three pieces. If you just want to bring your own river gear to wear then plan on layering items and include items like a splash top or jacket that is water repellent for your outer layer, wool or fleece (non-cotton) sweaters or tops, under garments and/or other layers of the same (wool, poly pro, spandex, neoprene), a hat/cap, and wool or fleece socks and water shoes/sandals that strap onto your feet or tennis shoes, sunglasses with straps and sun screen. Absolutely No Cotton! Required: Glass Straps for any eyewear is required if you want to keep them and not offer them to the river. Available for purchase inside our General Store. Please check lodging option to make sure linens and towels are provided.

Transportation

Shuttle to and from the river is provided from our Fayetteville Base Camp.

We have a campground for tent camping and RV camping. We also have 3 different styles of cabin camping to choose from.
