Beginner Class II, full day. This section of the Colorado is a gentle flowing river that is inviting to all ages. You'll encounter a few small rapids as the river winds through the Gore Range and mountain ranchland. If you want to get your heart racing, leap from Jump Rock or Little Jump Rock, perfect for all levels of bravery! There may even be time for a stop at some historical cabins along the river. This is a relaxing day with time to sunbathe, swim, or just relax and enjoy the day. Includes lunch. Itinerary

Door to Door Service A relaxing day with transportation provided by us. We’ll pick you up at Keystone or Breckenridge with all the gear already loaded. We’ll head right to the Colorado river, about an hour away. Before we get on the river, you’ll fuel up with a gourmet boxed lunch at the riverside picnic area. River Relaxation On the river, you’ll have an opportunity to take in the scenery, relax on the boat, leap from Jump Rock, or even swim as we float through the ranchlands and canyons of the Little Gore with the stunning Gore Range in the background. Sightings of bald eagles and other wildlife are common along this scenic trip. After the trip, we’ll drive back to Summit County and deliver you where we picked you up that morning.

Waivers

Once you arrive at our outpost, check in with our friendly office staff and sign liability waivers.   You can also <A href="http://www.coloradorafting.net/files/pdfs/65f5b6a2-22ca-4c1f-af21-bbe15a5ffd91.pdf">download</A> and print your waivers in advance.   If anyone in your group is under 18 years old and will not be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, they will need to get their waiver signed in advance and bring it with them the day of the trip.

Gear List

The Upper Colorado Float trip is not a particularly wet trip—unless you decide to go swimming! We recommend that you bring the following with you: <UL type=circle> <LI style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Footwear: Bring shoes that stay securely on your feet and can get wet. Tennis shoes, sport sandals (that strap on) or water shoes all work very well. NO FLIP-FLOPS AND NO CROCS  ALLOWED. AVA does not have water booties available for rent. <LI style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Swimsuit and lightweight, quick-drying shorts. <LI style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Sunglasses and strap to secure glasses <LI style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Sunscreen and lip balm with sunscreen <LI style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Hat or Visor <LI style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Additional Layers: Lightweight, quick-drying clothing. Fleece, polypropylene or other synthetic base layers (i.e. a Dri-fit shirt) are great additional layers in case we have cold or rainy weather. We recommend that you DO NOT wear cotton on the river. It stays wet and makes you cold. Save the cotton clothing to change into after your trip. <LI>Water Bottle</LI> <LI style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Money for souvenirs or to tip your guide.  Rafting is a service industry; gratuities are not expected, but they are appreciated!</LI></UL>
