This course is designed for those kids who desire to experience the thrill of rock climbing. Each half-day class will be held at beautiful Remillard Park in the Berkeley Hills. No previous experience is necessary. Our expert climbing instructors will teach your child basic rock climbing safety, top rope climbing knots, climbing commands, basic top roping techniques, rope management and an overview of the climbing rating system, and of course get them on a lot of climbs.

Gear List

Adventure Out will provide all the climbing gear for this camp (ropes, carabiners, safety/anchoring devices, harnesses, shoes, helmets, etc).  If your child has their own climbing gear, they may bring it, however it is not necessary.  We recommend that your child brings: sunscreen, lunch, drinking water, shorts or long loose fitting pants, and a light jacket or sweatshirt.

Money/Payment: Your child's camp will be reserved and paid for in advance - there is no need to remit payment at the trip site.  Our guides work very hard to show your child a good time and they do accept gratuities - it is an excellent way to say thank you for a great camp.

Guide(s)

Our adventurous guides are expert instructors and are all C.P.R., First-Aid, and WIlderness Medicine certified.  All Adventure Out instructors have a minimum 10 years of experience and are ready to get your child climbing.

Transportation
