Moonlight paddles are truly one of our favorite tours. We launch just before sunset in order to enjoy one of Florida's exquisite sunsets, then paddle for another ninty minutes enjoying the refuge in the coolness of the night. You will be amazed what you can see, even in the light of the moon. Dolphins, manatees, night herons, and owls. Bioluminescent comb jellyfish arrive in cooler weather and light up each time your paddle touches one. In the summer and early fall months the entire lagoon is bioluminescent. Enjoy the beauty of the moon on the water and still see some level of our bioluminescence in the shadows.

For Your Moonlight Trip With A Day Away

<UL> <LI>Arrive; check in with guide; receive gear <LI>Launch just prior to sunset and paddle to a great spot to enjoy one of our incredible Florida Sunsets in the coolness of the afternoon. <LI>Then, enjoy another ninty minutes or so paddling under the light of the moon. Its always different and we never really know what creatures we will encounter or which of several paths we will take.  Dolphin and manatee are regulars. Lots of birds too, including owls and night herons. <LI>Finish up; check in your gear; farwell to your guides</LI></UL>

Conditions can be extreme here in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Florida</st1:place></st1:State>. It is important to prepare well to gain the best enjoyment from your trip. Your guides are very familiar with your paddling environment and conditions. Feel free to ask any questions you would like in order to understand all you need to be confident about your trip. Please understand, we will not paddle in unsafe conditions including high winds and thunderstorms. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p> <UL> <LI>This tour is a night time tour so pass on the hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. But you will need.... <LI>Clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet. Towel (left in car) <LI>Swim suit/shorts & T shirt Cool weather… the same with cover-ups <LI>Water Shoes – sandals or Crocs that can be worn in the water <LI>Bring an extra change of clothes just in case… <LI>Some folks are wearing light long pants & sleeves to ward off mosquitos if the wind happens to be calm <LI>Camera & Dry bag (optional) These are fairly useless to capture bioluminescence, but great for capturing people. <LI>Bottled water, Snacks <LI>Any special personal paddling gear if you like <LI>Bug Repellent - especially if ther has been lots of rain <LI>Please lock valuables in your trunk (this is more safe) <LI>You may bring a flashlight, though we will provide a safety light.</LI></UL> What to expect… <UL> <LI>A drive that is 20 minutes east of Titusville out on the Refuge <LI>No restroom facilities at the launch site (visitor center is the closest) <LI>Just under two hours on the water for a leisurely paddle <LI>Expect to get a little wet – depends on you (or possibly your friends) <LI>To see lots of wildlife and stretch those muscles a little <LI>To learn some basics about paddling and more about local wildlife <LI>To actually wear your life vest & whistle <LI>Great guides who enjoy their work and keep you safe <LI>Lots of outdoor fun  and a desire to come back real soon <LI>If you have any difficulty finding us you may reach us at one of the following numbers… 321-268-2655 – Office ; 321-863-0515 – Cell 321-302-3810- Cell</LI></UL>
